The Firm’s core values are deeply embedded in its culture, encouraging mutual support. USILC stands out for its flexibility and openness to change, by actively encouraging innovation and empowering employees to propose and implement new ideas. This adaptability creates an environment of continuous growth and improvement. I have always been captivated by Saman Movassaghi Gonzalez’s leadership style, which is characterized by motivation, perseverance, and a strong work ethic. I also lean on these qualities as a Legal Operations Training Manager for USILC. Further, my fluency in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Greek enhances my ability to communicate across diverse groups.

I bring extensive experience to my role at USILC, drawing from my background in government service and private practice. This includes four years as an immigration services officer at the USCIS’ Miami field office and subsequently a subject-matter expert at their headquarters. For more than a year, I also served as a refugee officer trainer, traveling internationally to train field officers. I then transitioned to a headquarters role as a program manager.

My managerial responsibilities at USILC are highly analytical and spans multiple practice areas within the Legal Department. I manage case coordinators, associates, and lead attorneys, as well as serving as training manager for all staff in the legal team to help us optimally assist those applying for immigration benefits. My work involves assessing current legal practices, identifying areas for improvement, analyzing case processing, reviewing assignments and errors, and conducting in-depth case reviews for the legal team. My overall aim is to implement changes that enhance standardization, work quality, and personnel growth.

Outside of work, I am passionate about traveling and exploring different cultures, having visited numerous countries such as Greece, Guatemala, and Rwanda. My travels have given me a greater appreciation for global diversity and commonalities. On my days off, I love spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, dancing, brainstorming creative ideas, and hosting barbecues.
