Vanesa Erroa

I joined USILC driven by a desire to work alongside and support paralegals involved in case management. My role in the General Immigration Department offers me countless opportunities to help clients realize their dreams and achieve their goals. I conduct weekly case audits to stay updated on the progress of each case and ensure that clients receive timely communication related to their cases. I also track requests for evidence from USCIS, follow up weekly with paralegals, and serve as the primary point of contact once cases are assigned. Additionally, I handle client escalation calls to address urgent concerns.

With over ten years of professional experience in immigration law, I have assisted clients by preparing affidavits for asylum cases and managing a wide variety of other case types. I am particularly well-versed in consular processing and U visa certifications. My extensive experience has given me an understanding of the timelines and steps required for different types of cases, allowing me to effectively guide paralegals. I am also proficient at addressing client inquiries and conducting thorough research as needed.

I truly value the spirit of collaboration and teamwork at USILC. We not only support one another within our own teams but also know we can count on team members across departments to help us with whatever we need. My teammates and I communicate openly and work together to find effective solutions to any challenges we face.

Outside of work, I have a deep appreciation for nature, and one of my greatest joys is spending time outdoors with my family, exploring parks, waterfalls, creeks, and other beautiful waterways. I also love discovering new spots in the city where we can savor great food and live music, such as Latin music and classic R&B. Listening to the Spanish music that filled my home during my childhood also brings back fond memories and a sense of nostalgia.
