Maria Rodriguez

For the past 18 years, I have worked in both nonprofit organizations and private law firms, helping individuals and families steer through the U.S. immigration system.

I began my legal career in criminal and family law before transitioning to immigration law, which has been my primary area of practice for nearly 14 years. As a former DOJ Accredited Representative, I had the privilege of representing clients at USCIS interviews and in immigration court during removal and litigation proceedings. I attended both master calendar and individual hearings with clients and supported attorneys in a broad range of immigration matters.

Since joining US-ILC, I have performed tasks such as drafting motions and preparing cases for attorneys within the Litigation department. I have also prepared motions to reopen, cancellation of removal applications, and other litigation-related matters. As an Immigration Paralegal, I support clients with compassion and a genuine commitment to their individual journeys. I provide services in both English and Spanish, with the goal of helping clients move forward with dignity and confidence.

My prior experience has been instrumental in preparing me for my current role at US-ILC and has allowed me to take on increasingly complex matters. Having been raised in an immigrant household, I understand and empathize with the challenges, hopes, and resilience involved in building a new life in another country.

Aside from my professional responsibilities, I value spending time with my family and pursuing interests that allow me to express my creativity and personal style. Above all, I am a proud mother of three children and a beloved fur baby. I also have a strong interest in beauty and personal care, including skincare, eyelash extensions, nail services, and hairstyling. I began styling others’ hair in middle school, an experience that sparked my entrepreneurial spirit. I also appreciate fashion accessories, particularly purses, and the role that aesthetics play in helping me look and feel my best.
