Over the past five years at U.S. Immigration Law Counselยฎ (US-ILC), I have experienced tremendous professional growth and developed a strong passion for advocating for individuals navigating immigration law. The unique environment at US-ILC shifted my career goals and inspired me to dedicate my work to supporting individuals and families seeking a better future in the United States.
Before embarking on my career in immigration, I spent two years honing my managerial skills while working in the travel industry as a Lead for a major cruise line. I then accepted a position as Lead for an office supply company, where I worked for another two years. These leadership roles prepared me for my role as the FOIA / Records Department Lead.
In my current role, I oversee records management and case analysis operations while leading a growing team of nine dedicated professionals. One of my proudest accomplishments has been witnessing the Records Department grow and flourish throughout my tenure at the firm. Through collaboration, leadership, and a commitment to excellence, I have helped build a department that plays a vital role in supporting both our clients and legal teams with precision, efficiency, and care.
Being fluent in both English and Spanish allows me to connect with clients on a meaningful level and foster trust during some of the most challenging moments in their lives. My passion for this work is deeply personal. Although I was born in the United States, my grandparentsโ journey as immigrants has given me a profound understanding of the experiences and sacrifices that many of our clients face. This shared connection continues to motivate me to serve others with empathy, dedication, and unwavering compassion.
During my personal time, I enjoy visiting Disney World, where I can unwind and indulge in the attractions and sense of adventure. At home, I enjoy exercising my analytical mind by watching dramas like Law & Order: SVU, a series that highlights important social issues and brings them into the national spotlight.
