Since joining USILC, I have felt welcomed by a distinguished and talented team of professionals who are passionate about immigration law. I value the diversity of clients, and the complex business immigration matters that I have the opportunity to work with at USILC. I joined USILC not only because immigration law is the field I am dedicated to, but also because of Saman’s unique background and approach to cases and clients. I’m inspired by Saman’s refreshing leadership style, her unique talent for connecting with clients, and the skill with which she identifies solutions to complicated immigration cases. I feel fortunate to be part of a team of hardworking and talented professionals.

As an Associate Attorney with a focus on business- and employment-based immigration, I work with the Firm’s Legal Department to evaluate and prepare petitions for a wide array of cases including for immigrant visas such as EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3, and nonimmigrant visas such as L-1, TN, H-1B, E, and O. I’m inspired by our clients’ stories and am motivated by a deeply held belief that the continued success of the United States depends on its openness to people from around the world including temporary workers and entrepreneurs.

As an Associate Attorney, I meticulously review immigration laws, policy memoranda, and regulations, and thoroughly analyze our clients’ facts and evidence to prepare persuasive petitions. Our laws are intended to offer certain immigration benefits, and it is my job to show the government why a particular benefit should be granted to a particular client. To these ends, I strive to get to know my clients with attention to details about their professional roles, endeavors, and businesses.

I enjoy physical activities such as strength training and jogging, in my free time. My other hobbies include woodworking, traveling and visiting museums, and engaging in intellectually stimulating conversations about philosophy and culture. I also love all kinds of art from film to literature, fine arts, and music — from classical music to hip-hop and hardcore punk. I speak English and Spanish fluently and have an intermediate understanding of Portuguese.
