When I accepted a position at USILC, I was exposed to new methods and processes that have been invaluable to my journey toward becoming an immigration attorney. During my search for a new opportunity, I compared many firms and was most impressed with USILC, largely due to their outstanding reviews. USILC is composed of professionals who are highly capable in their roles.ย

As a Legal Assistant, I primarily handle documentation for the General Department within the firmโ€™s Legal Department. I follow up with clients in both English and Spanish to obtain necessary information, compile packets for various processes, and submit them to the appropriate immigration service centers on our clientsโ€™ behalf. USILC has also established successful processes that we can employ to help provide clients with individualized services.

Before joining USILC, I was an immigration case manager/legal assistant for over a year. I also functioned as a paralegal, preparing numerous family petitions, adjustment packages, and citizenship applications. Although it was challenging, this role introduced me to many processes and provided me with valuable knowledge and a solid background in immigration law.ย

I maintain a strong work-life balance through music and outdoor activities. I write and play blues and rock music, and I enjoy the creative process of building a song from an initial idea using my understanding of chords and theory. I also love spending time outdoors, especially fishing from my kayak. On land, I like to unwind by baking desserts like a New York cheesecake and sharing them with friends and family.
