I became familiar with USCIS’ managing attorney, Saman Movassaghi Gonzalez, and the Firms social media content, while working as a paralegal for other firms. I joined the Firm a few years later, and I am now a paralegal in the General area of the Legal department. We oversee family-based applications, naturalizations, adjustment of status, removal of conditions, and other similar work. As a paralegal, I prepare immigration packets and communicate with clients in English and Spanish and strive to ensure they feel seen, heard, and supported throughout the process. When their cases are approved, I am pleased to know that this event can turn their lives around.

My journey into immigration law began while working at the USCIS customer service center in Texas, where I gained a deeper understanding of the immigration system and its complexities. That experience sparked a passion in me to become a paralegal and assist others in traversing their own immigration processes, especially those who face the system without any legal background or support.

I now have over eight years of experience in immigration law, specializing in family-based petitions, naturalization, DACA, and humanitarian applications. My career has included working at private immigration law firms and a nonprofit organization, where I prepared family-based and victim-based applications and assisted with community workshops focused on naturalization and employment authorization. These experiences strengthened my advocacy skills and deepened my commitment to immigrant communities. As the spouse of an immigrant, I have also personally navigated the immigration system, including relocating to Mexico for nearly three years. This lived experience has given me insight into the clients’ perspective and inspired me to treat every case with the same care and urgency I would want for my own family.

In my spare time, I find balance through creative outlets. I enjoy amateur photography, especially capturing nature and family moments. I also support my husband with social media content, including recording and editing videos for our online platforms. Our weekends often end with family gatherings, giving me the space to recharge and return to work ready to serve our clients with compassion and professionalism.
