There is a strong team dynamic at US-ILC, and my teammates and I have built a solid rapport and are unified in our goals. My role is not only fulfilling, but I am also motivated to be at my best, knowing that I am contributing to life-changing work for our clients. That sense of purpose is vital to me. I realized that I was well-suited to work on behalf of immigrants and US-ILC offered me the welcome opportunity to do so.

Before joining US-ILC, I was an interpreter with a company, tasked with providing translation services in Spanish and English. I previously acquired over two years of immigration experience with a small firm. My role required assisting with various types of immigration matters, including reviewing documentation and preparing cases from start to finish. My work background has also included providing customer service for various businesses for nearly three years. I eventually transitioned into the quality assurance aspect of customer service and was responsible for assessing team performance. Additionally, I lead the building department in a law firm that manages corporate labor litigation cases. This work experience was at a multinational law firm specializing in litigation, labor, corporate, financial, and intellectual property law. I worked in the firm’s billing department, supporting billing operations for the entire firm.

I now support US-ILC’s Litigation team within the Legal Department by assisting paralegals, lawyers and the case manager, as well as gathering and compiling documentation. As part of my duties, I also oversee scheduling and prepare specific types of cases. My familiarity with immigration forms and documentation, and case processes, has provided me with a solid foundation for this role. I apply my managerial experience to my work at US-ILC. I understand how customer service processes work, especially when it comes to communicating with clients. I believe having empathy and patience are vital skills in the immigration arena.

To unwind, I enjoy listening to a variety of music. I strive to understand the process that leads artists to make certain choices. I am also an avid outdoorsman, and my hobbies include kayaking and running. At home, I also enjoy challenging myself with video games.
