US-ILC has provided me with the opportunity to serve in a role that I not only enjoy, but that also enables me to walk in our clients’ shoes. Having personally undergone immigration processes, I recognize the challenges our clients face and strive to connect with them in a genuine and empathetic way. My goal is to bring resilience, compassion, and determination to all my work in the immigration field.
When I joined US-ILC, I wanted to broaden my immigration experience by working with a firm that would provide opportunities to collaborate with others to find solutions to complex immigration matters. Becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen was one of my proudest accomplishments, and I am privileged to support our clients in their immigration journeys.
I relocated to the United States in 2015 to achieve my own American Dream, and I have been fortunate enough to work with firms dedicated to helping clients achieve theirs. I acquired an abundance of experience in customer service while serving as a legal assistant with an immigration firm for three years. In that position, I liaised directly with clients daily, representing the firms as their initial point of contact and conducting intake to learn about their histories. This position provided broad experience in evidence gathering for immigration processes.
I am currently a legal assistant in US-ILC’s Legal Department, where I support attorneys by regularly communicating with their clients in English and Spanish, and managing their calendars. I also assist paralegals in compiling and submitting client packets to USCIS, and keeping clients updated regarding notices and documents received on their behalf. Our aim is transparency and ensuring that clients remain fully informed throughout their cases. My previous positions in the legal field exposed me to customer service best practices related to client contact, as well as the duties of a paralegal. My affinity for supporting clients through various immigration processes has grown over the years.
During vacation breaks, I enjoy traveling to other countries to immerse myself in their cultures. My family also shares my love of adventure, and we sometimes take spontaneous road trips to other cities. As a personal challenge, I participate in fitness activities such as running groups. On weekends, I am also fond of lounging on the beach with my family.
