I oversee a dynamic team of professionals who each possess assets that strengthen the team. I am never at a loss for team members whom I can consult or collaborate with on various cases, in ways that are beneficial to clients. We are all intricately connected to each other, and the work we do is invaluable. It is a highly congenial atmosphere. Although I was born in the US, I have always lived among immigrants, which stimulated my interest in the field of immigration. I found value in learning about the lifestyles and customs of people who have not lived the typical American experience. I was happy to expose myself to the breadth of other cultures and the ways in which immigration has impacted them. My father was also an immigration officer for many years, and this greatly influenced me. It invariably led me to choose this path.

I was initially attracted to the range of cases under US-ILC’s management, and the fact that the firm serves a broad spectrum of immigration clients. While my background is mainly in business immigration, I am continually exposed to colleagues who oversee a variety of cases with their own unique scenarios that are unfamiliar to me. I welcome this challenge as it allows me to expand my knowledge.

I wear several hats within US-ILC’s Legal Department, including preparing cases, and performing case reviews. In addition, I assist with managing the business immigration team and provide guidance to the department’s paralegals. I attend interviews with clients for multiple types of cases, either in person or telephonically, and I perform consular and USCIS interview preparation in English and Spanish.

I am a mother to a lively toddler, and I enjoy watching her grow. I strive to take her on an adventure each weekend, such as festivals, carnivals, or museums, or to view special phenomena like a solar eclipse. My desire is to instill in my child a sense of adventure and inspire her to appreciate family bonding time. I recently began crocheting again and I am now creating a blanket for my daughter. Crocheting is a peaceful and soothing activity that focuses my busy mind and helps me to decompress from my professional life. It is also a proven method for calming my intense astraphobia, which is a fear of lightning. This fear arose many years ago, when I was nearly struck by lightning as a child.
